Development coaching

We deliver sessions aimed at archers around the county who are hoping to improve and would like to make it onto the county team for matches against other counties.

Performance Coaching

For those archers who are already on the county team, we offer more performance focussed coaching to develop further. This is intended for archers who would like to represent the county at regional or national events.

Opportunities for Coaches

The development team also work to enhance coaching practices in the county through the following:

Coaching courses – funding available (see documents) and occasional face-to-face course dates.

Seminars – evening or weekend sessions intended to meet the specific needs of coaches and trainees within the county.

Coaching Conference – a networking event organised yearly featuring external speakers which is open to coaches and trainees.

Shadowing – opportunities to shadow more experienced or specialist coaches at county coaching days, either as an introduction to the coaching pathway or to enhance your skills. 80% of archers who attended the L&RCAA coaching days would recommend it to members in their clubs.
