Update to the County Constitution

After the County EGM on Monday 19th April 2010 There a small change to the county constitution was approved, this was to give the county options if there were less than the four selection shoots available. The details are below with the amendments shown in red.

Selection Shoots

After the selection of four shoots to be nominated as the County trials by the County Committee , adopt the following system of team selection for the first County match of the season providing that the first County match is no longer than 4 weeks after the final selection shoot.   Should the first County match be more than 4 weeks after the final selection shoot then the team should be selected on the guidelines of Section 3, "Selection for 2nd and Subsequent Matches".

In the event of there not being four shoots nominated by the County Committee as County Trials, the number of shoots shall be decided by the Selection Committee.

a)       All archers wishing to be considered for the team (with the exception of exempt archers) to compete in a minimum of three of the four nominated shoots, unless the archer shooting at a Regional or above shoot on the same day submits for consideration his/her score sheet.

b)       If an archer competes in all four shoots only the best three will be used for selection purposes.

c)       After deletion of all "outsiders" from the results sheets one point will be awarded for first place, two points for second, etc.

d)       After taking into consideration the exempt archers the County team to be made up of those County archers with the LOWEST points total in strict order.

e)       Where a draw exists in the points system the Selection Committee must use their judgement to decide the placings.
