Following the AGM held in November 2006 there are number of open posts on the County Committee – these are :-
Team Captain | Development Officer | EMAS Representative | Child Protection Officer.
In addition the following Posts are only temporarily filled and we will need to find replacements sometime during the coming year.
Secretary | Treasurer | Tournament Organiser | Records Officer.
Organises the 5
Senior County Matches – You do not need to be a “top” shot for
this role, it’s your organisation and management skills that are
important here. The Team Captain receives and tracks archers scores, is
part of a 3 man selection team, sends out selection letters, liaises
with other County Team Captains, manages the Team on the match day,
reports Team progress and events to the County Committee.
L&RCAA have a
documented plan to guide the development of archery in Leicester &
Rutland. The role of the Development Officer is to monitor performance
against the Plan and ensure it is updated to reflect the aspirations of
the Archers who are affiliated through the County Clubs.
L&RCAA is one
of the 5 Counties who make up the East Midland Archery Society. The
others are Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, Derbyshire, and
Northamptonshire. Each County appoints a representative to sit on the
EMAS Committee to represent the views of his/her home county. In
addition the the County Meeting will also attend 4 EMAS meetings
A relatively new
role to act as a coordinator between the Clubs affiliated to the County
and GNAS.
In addition the
following Posts are only temporarily filled and we will need to find
replacements sometime during the coming year.
A key role in the
efficient running of the County’s business. One of the 3 main
Executive positions along with the Chairman and the Treasurer. The
Secretary is the first line of contact for the County. Handles
affiliations, liases with GNAS and other regions / counties, keeps
minutes of the County Meetings including the AGM.
Also an Executive
position. The Treasurer manages the finances of the County, receives
affiliations, tournament entry fees etc, settles approved expenditure,
maintains the books of account, reconciles the bank accounts and
prepares financial statements for each county meeting.
The County
organisers 4 annual shoots – The County FITA, The Outdoor County
Champs, The Indoor County Champs. The County Clout. A key job which
would suit someone who already has some experience in organising
tournaments, perhaps at a club level. Here again it is organisation and
management skills that are key. There are a number of people within the
county who are prepared to assist the TO in various ways but the smooth
running of a shoot is the TOs main responsibility.
Keeps and maintains
the County Records (and there are a lot of them!). Receives and
processes new claims from archers and issues certificates to those who
have a valid claim. Also processes claims for Classification Badges.
Also part of the 3 man selection team for archers to represent
L&RCAA at inter county matches
